Cake Smash Session

FAQ's

- Do I have to include a cake?

No! I've done everything from a cake, watermelon, cupcake, donut and even a Spaghetti smash.

If you just want to capture your little one without the mess, I have you bring an extra outfit for more variety in your photos!

- What if my baby doesn't like the cake?

This happens more often than you think! Babies typically don't even know a cake is food and usually just want to play with it. We go slow during the session to introduce them to this new phenomenon, and if they really are not interested, we will get adorable photos regardless.

- Do I have to bring my own cake?

If your baby has allergies of any kind, I ask that you bring your own. Otherwise, my Cake Smash sessions include a home made, "naked" style white cake.

If you're looking for something more elaborate, you can inquire with me or bring your own!

Attention to details

Quality is everything in family photography. It’s what turns a simple photo into a lasting memory—something you’ll proudly frame, share, and keep for years to come.

From the lighting and composition to the emotion captured in each image, quality ensures your family's story is told with care and intention. Because these moments are too meaningful for anything less.

Attention to detail is something I've crafted over the years in so many different ways. This ranges from ensuring the light placement and angle I'm photographing is flattering, Scouting an outdoor location before the day of the session to ensure a strong background, and learning the names of each family member.

All of these small factors are at play when creating strong, quality images of your family. It doesn't matter how beautiful a photo is, if mom's hair is not placed properly am I right?

communication

Clear, thoughtful communication is key to a great family photography experience.

It helps set expectations, ease nerves, and ensure everyone feels comfortable and prepared.

From planning outfits to choosing the perfect location, open communication builds trust and makes the entire process smooth and enjoyable—so you can relax, have fun, and truly be yourself in front of the camera.
